Rogue Alchemy
Rogue Alchemy was a DYCP (Developing Your Creative Potential) project, supported using public funding by the Arts Council of England.
The project ran from February to December 2021.
The project allowed me time and space to research, investigate and experiment with using microcontroller and associated technologies to help add extra layers of animation and engagement to my work. It enabled me to play with Arduino, raspberry pi and other similar open source tech; learn new skills in electronics and coding; and the headspace to think about how those developments coud be put to best use in my work. As well as making 2 sculptures that were used to play with different control systems I developed some prototype versions of a sound system and a camera viewing system for a Jabberwocky puppet.
